Welcome to Third Week of Rio’s pregnancy! This week is an exciting time as the puppies continue to grow and develop rapidly.
Heads are starting to develop and our puppies are starting to resemble tiny dogs!
As the puppies continue to grow, Rio’s body is adjusting to the pregnancy. We think she is resting more, but she also did love taking her naps. We continue to provide Rio with proper nutrition and care to ensure that she stays healthy and comfortable.
During this Third Week, we know it’s possible to confirm the pregnancy through ultrasound, and we may be able to detect the puppies’ heartbeats, but we have decided to let nature surprise us this early in the pregnancy.
We are also starting to think about preparing for the upcoming birth by making sure we have a comfortable and safe space for Rio and her puppies. We are discussing where a warm and quiet area in our house is where Rio can give birth and start caring for her throughout the process.
Overall, this Third Week is an exciting time as the puppies continue to develop and the pregnancy progresses. We’re thrilled to be a part of this journey and can’t wait to see what the upcoming weeks have in store for us! Stay tuned for more updates.
